Description
This person will be doing support work, hanging wire, and installing those pathways, and all of the work will be indoors and externally to a data center environment. Main job duties will include roughing in fiber, final dressing, labeling, etc. Running, dressing, testing & terminating CAT 5,6, fiber, and building out network equipment, and rack and stack.
ResponsibilitiesMain daily job duties will include cable installing, cable dressing, labeling, and material management for cable installing (copper and fiber).
Technical Skills- Cat5, Cat6, cable dressing, termination testing, patch panels, copper cable, fiber optic cable, fusion splicing, and OTD
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 1+ year(s) of cabling experience.
- Have not worked for META in the last 6 months.
- Data center experience is a plus.
- Installation of structured cabling systems including OSP, ISP, rack, stack, patch, fusion splicing, testing.
- Reads and interprets all floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets.
- Sets up a variety of copper and fiber testers.
- Performs system testing and troubleshooting as required.
- Terminates, labels, tests, and troubleshoots optical fiber and copper installations.
- Assists in developing installers to complete all the tasks and responsibilities of a technician.
- Proactively oversees and leads job site organization and basic housekeeping maintenance.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Maintains satisfactory compliance with customer security requirements.
- Exceeds technical tasks such as testing and troubleshooting.
Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 – $34.00 per hour.
