JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a progressive agricultural equipment company in their search for a Field Service Technician. This opportunity is ideal for an individual with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting, customer interaction, and working with advanced agricultural equipment and technology. The successful candidate will provide on-site service, diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and technical support for customers throughout an assigned territory.

This position requires someone who can work independently, communicate professionally with customers, and effectively diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues. RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain agricultural equipment in the field
* Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
* Commission new equipment and assist with customer setup and training
* Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical manuals
* Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
* Troubleshoot CAN Bus communication systems and machine controls
* Utilize diagnostic software and specialized testing equipment
* Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records
* Communicate effectively with customers and internal support personnel
* Participate in rotating on-call schedules during peak seasons
* Follow company safety procedures and policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Minimum one year service technician experience preferred
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
* Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
* Agricultural equipment experience preferred
* Precision Ag, GPS guidance, and automated control experience beneficial
* Ability to use computers and diagnostic software
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage territory responsibilities
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Associate Degree or technical training preferred
* Valid driver's license required
* Ability to lift 50+ pounds
