Job Description:
TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled Site Foreman / Lead Cabling Technician to support a large-scale industrial construction project. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, high-density job site where multiple trades are working simultaneously.
The Site Foreman will be responsible for leading cabling operations in the field, ensuring quality installations, maintaining productivity, and setting the standard for performance on site. This role is best suited for someone who knows their craft, can lead by example, and thrives in complex industrial environments.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead daily cabling operations on an industrial construction site
+ Install and route low-voltage cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, fiber optic)
+ Terminate, test, and troubleshoot network cabling systems
+ Supervise and direct helpers/technicians while maintaining productivity
+ Work independently with minimal oversight in a congested, multi-trade environment
+ Coordinate with site leadership and other trades to ensure project timelines are met
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
+ Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
Required Skills:
+ Strong experience in low-voltage cabling installation and termination
+ Proven ability to lead crews and operate as a site foreman
+ Experience working in large industrial or commercial construction environments
+ Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field independently
+ Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
+ High level of dependability and accountability
Preferred
Skills:
+ Experience mentoring or managing junior technicians/helpers
+ Familiarity with high-density or large-scale buildouts
+ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
+ Must have own basic tools (major tools provided)
+ OSHA 10 Certification - Required prior to site access
+ Lift Certification - Required prior to site access
+ Managerial references required to validate leadership and reliability
Experience Level:
Expert Level - Must have prior experience leading crews, working independently, and managing cabling installations in complex job site environments.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
