Job OverviewUnder the supervision of operations leadership, Service Technicians maintain a high standard of service. They service all ICEE and restaurant equipment, including frozen carbonated and non‑carbonated dispensers, fountain beverage equipment, ice makers, juice dispensers, and more. Service Technicians work with minimal supervision and attend weekly meetings held in their Service Center. Team members are provided with a vehicle, uniforms, tools, a cell phone, a tablet, and a gas card.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
- Receive dispatched service calls and ensure a prompt response based on estimated time of arrival (ETA).
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot or diagnose service problems, and complete repairs as needed. Check product quality (e.g., syrup levels, flavor changes, machine cleaning).
- Maintain inventory and maintenance of equipment such as parts, tools, and the company vehicle.
- Review service orders and documentation with the supervisor, keeping them informed of customer concerns, needs, and up‑selling opportunities.
- Document all work performed and close out activities upon completion.
- Communicate clearly with customers and co‑workers.
- Perform assigned general warehouse duties, including cleaning, organizing, rotating product, and shipping and receiving equipment, parts, and product.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Maintain customer, interpersonal, team, and service relationships.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
- Self‑starter who accomplishes tasks in a timely manner.
- Great oral and written communication skills. Comfortable with basic mathematical functions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical background.
- Graduate of a technical or vocational school (preferred).
- Valid Real‑r’s License.
- Ability to lift 55 lbs or more regularly; occasional lifting in excess of 70 lbs required.
- Willing and able to drive more than 40% of the time.
- Must wear steel‑toed shoes.
- Must have and wear steel‑toed shoes.
Pay from: $22/hour
Pay is commensurate with experience, education, skills, training, and certifications.
TrainingICEE Academy provides essential technical training in equipment, service, and repair. Training typically occurs at the ICEE Academy in La Vergne, TN, or other designated locations and lasts two weeks, with possible weekend sessions. Attendance and eligibility are based on role, performance metrics, and certifications. Successful completion is required for continued employment; failure may result in reassignment or termination. Regular hourly wages and applicable overtime are paid during training.
