Backfill Excavator Operator

Under minimal supervision, safely and efficiently backfill and compact pipe trench to specifications, changing/properly using compaction attachments as required.

• Ability to work hourly full time, generally 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.
• More/less hours may be required based on weather conditions and project demands.
• Winter layoff may occur annually.

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Minimum of at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work according to Roloff Construction’s core values:

• Minimum of one year experience working in an excavator.
• Physical requirements:
• Sit for long periods of time.
• Get out of equipment and assist ground personnel as needed.
• Climb up and down ladders.
• Be able to see (naturally or with correction).

• Experience operating an excavator in the underground utility construction industry preferred.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
