Grounds​/Maintenance

Duties

Applications are being accepted for an 8 hour Grounds/Maintenance position for Bellevue Public Schools. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of grounds and maintenance functions. Typical duties include, but not limited to the following:

• Self-motivated and can work independently and the ability to prioritize projects.
• Must be able to analyze and solve issues regarding equipment, machines, and grounds.
• Must be able to communicate solutions to issues you may find to direct supervisor.
• Have a valid driver's license and willing to drive to different locations throughout the workday.
• Mowing district grounds.
• Snow removal throughout the district.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Repairing outdoor sprinkler systems.
• Ability to use common maintenance and construction tools.
• Ability to assist with smaller construction and cabinet work projects.
• Welding experience.
• Basic Mechanical knowledge and use of tools.
• Basic Carpentry Skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned. This position is subject to a veterans preference. Typical duty hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m.
