About the Role: As a HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems, and for diagnosing and troubleshooting systems.
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to identify the root cause of malfunctions and recommend effective solutions.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and identify potential problems before they escalated.
- Install, repair, or replace components such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, filters, and ductwork.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate work schedules, prioritize service calls, and efficiently complete assignments.
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns, explaining repair options, and providing recommendations for system improvements.
- Accurately document service activities, including equipment status, repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Technician or similar role.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems.
- Solid knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Customer service focus and mindset, putting employees and partners first, with excellent ability to communicate and develop relationships.
- Exceptional problem‑solving and conflict resolution abilities to improve things both big and small.
- Highly organized, ability to act quickly while still having attention to detail.
