Position: Utility Locate Technician $22.00-$30.00/hr Omaha, Nebraska

ELM Utility Services, with a team of over 1700 employees nationwide, is offering a great opportunity for a Utility Locate Technician in the Omaha, Nebraska area. Technicians ensure that gas, electric, and communication systems are dependable and well‑maintained, performing high‑quality utility marking to avoid damage during excavation of these vital facilities. Starting wages for this position will be $22.00-$30.00 depending on experience.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Work independently outdoors with company‑provided vehicle as mobile office, completing a route of locate requests each day.
  • Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers.
  • Use mobile work system to receive daily tasks.
Qualifications
  • Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug, motor vehicle record, and background check. This is a Safety‑Sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations. Use of marijuana (medical or recreational) is prohibited.
  • High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license.
