Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic

The Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic performs maintenance, inspections, repairs, overhauls, and upgrades on PC-12s, Citations, Cessna jets, CJ series aircraft, and King Airs. This role ensures all work complies with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, aircraft manufacturer recommendations, and internal policies and procedures, while maintaining accurate and detailed maintenance records.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on PC-12s, Citations, Cessna jets, CJ series aircraft, and King Airs in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair airframe and power plant systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Read and interpret technical data, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and illustrated parts catalogs (IPC).
  • Identify and order required parts, ensuring correct parts selection through accurate interpretation of IPC and technical documentation.
  • Make accurate work order entries for discrepancies found, corrective actions taken, parts used, and inspections performed.
  • Remove and install aircraft panels and components as required to perform inspections and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct basic operational and functional checks following maintenance to verify proper system performance.
  • Clean, service, and maintain aircraft as part of routine and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Document all work performed in detailed maintenance records to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards while working in the hangar and on aircraft.
  • Collaborate with a small team of technicians to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and meet operational schedules.
  • Use personal hand tools safely and effectively to perform mechanical tasks on aircraft systems.
Essential Skills
  • Active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • Minimum of 2 years of A&P experience, with consideration for experience in corporate or general aviation environments.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude with the ability to execute work accurately based on technical data and instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data, maintenance manuals, and illustrated parts catalogs (IPC).
  • Experience performing aircraft maintenance, including inspections, repairs, and functional checks.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and thorough maintenance records.
  • Ability to identify parts correctly and understand aircraft systems and components.
  • Capability to remove and install aircraft panels and perform basic operational and functional checks.
  • Personal hand tools suitable for aircraft maintenance work (with time provided to gather tools if needed).
  • Strong work ethic and initiative, with a proactive and hands-on approach to aircraft maintenance tasks.

Work Environment

You will work as part of a small group of approximately 10 technicians in a hangar-based environment, with most work performed indoors and only rare need to work outside. The role follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., typically totaling around 40 hours per week.
