Job SummaryThe mission of the Security Services Technician is to service and install complex integrated security systems which include wiring, equipment and programming of intrusion systems, digital recorders, and network recorders at customer establishments throughout the Nebraska service area. The successful candidate must be 21 years or older, have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Job Responsibilities- Install and service video surveillance systems.
- Troubleshoot DVR and low voltage power supplies.
- Problem solving including debugging and resolving low voltage electrical, cable, computer hardware and software issues.
- Submitting and maintain timely and accurate service and inventory documentation.
- Identify and communicate inventory needs for equipment to ensure minimal downtime and rapid turnaround of product.
- Follow all department, company, and state policies and procedures.
High school diploma or GED.
Qualifications and Experience- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Prior experience installing access control equipment and cameras.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Working knowledge of test equipment such as multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meter and decibel meter.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, managers, and across departments.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
