Talascend is currently seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Omaha, Nebraska
.
The HVAC Maintenance Technician is responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned facilities to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and safety. This role involves proactive maintenance, repair, and inspections to support client occupancy and operational needs.
Responsibilities- Perform ongoing preventive and repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other systems
- Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and building components
- Conduct facility inspections and report conditions impacting operations
- Respond effectively to emergencies and provide after-hours support as required
- Prepare and submit reports detailing work conditions and recommending corrective actions
- Maintain proficiency with building equipment including automation and fire/life safety systems
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and relevant codes and ordinances
- Universal EPA Certification
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance
- Valid state driver's license and ability to maintain it
- Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders
- Availability to perform on-call duties and overtime as required
- Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application
- Experience managing work orders and utilizing CMMS technology
- Experience in service-related roles specific to commercial facilities
The shift is from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with on-call availability.
Background Check and Drug Screen may be required.
