Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses mechanical and electrical issues, and supports continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Perform setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Inspect, test, clean, lubricate, and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret work orders, equipment manuals, and safety procedures.
- Repair or replace motors, pumps, bearings, valves, piping, wiring, and electrical components.
- Complete scheduled maintenance activities and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and work records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and production equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
- Basic computer skills and experience documenting maintenance activities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Experience with packaging equipment, mixing systems, and conveyor systems.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and controls.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and manufacturing processes.
- Experience adapting to new equipment and technologies.

Schedule & Work Environment- Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday-Thursday, 4:30 PM-2:30 AM)
- Clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
- Work around conveyors, packaging equipment, mixing tanks, and other production machinery.
- Safety-focused environment with required PPE.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
