Are you an experienced Building Automation Installer looking to take the next step into a leadership role? A well-established building automation systems integrator is seeking a Lead Building Automation Installer to oversee field installation activities across a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example, working hands-on in the field, and delivering high-quality BAS installations from project start through completion.
The Role- Lead and mentor a team of Building Automation installers on active construction projects
- Install Building Automation Systems (BAS), including controllers, panels, sensors, actuators, and associated low-voltage wiring
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings
- Coordinate daily installation activities and provide technical guidance to field teams
- Ensure installations are completed in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
- Support commissioning activities through point-to-point verification and system testing
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and customers throughout project delivery
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity on-site
- Complete installation documentation and support project handover activities
- Proven experience installing Building Automation Systems on commercial construction projects
- Previous experience leading or supervising installation teams
- Strong understanding of low-voltage controls wiring and field device installation
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Experience installing BAS from the ground up rather than replacing pre-configured equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Journeyman Electrician licence or equivalent trade qualification
- Experience with Alerton Building Automation Systems
- Experience with other major Building Automation platforms
Previous experience working across commercial, healthcare, education, or institutional facilities
- $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
