Operate, maintain, install, and perform preventive maintenance onall types of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment including large commercial air handlers, boilers, chillers, pumps,generators, AC split systems, air compressors, and other related equipment. Requires general knowledge of building systems and maintenance relating to commercial HVAC systems. Requires general knowledge of commercial HVAC automatic control systems, building electrical systems, commercial plumbing systems, and all related components. Requires some experience with commercial plumbing systems, fixtures, and related components.

Perform carpentry work throughout campus, such as repairs to doors and door hardware,ceilings, flooring, and classroom seating. This position will be expected to interact with customers and other employees in aprofessional manner that enhances work effectiveness for the facilities maintenance crew. Assist Plant Operators as directed.

Perform all duties of that position to include, but not limited to,operating central utilities plant equipment, make rounds and complete operating logs, monitor campus equipment through theenergy management systems, note deficiencies and take corrective action.

Responsibility Area: Maintenance

Duties: Operate, maintain, install, and perform preventive maintenance onall types of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment including large commercial air handlers, boilers, chillers, pumps,generators, AC split systems, air compressors, and other related equipment. Ensure compliance with regulations including all applicable building, electrical and fire codes, university and departmental standards and guidelines. Assist with major rebuild sand repairs on equipment as required.
