JOB PURPOSE:

The Home Access Laborer is responsible for completing construction/installation tasks with and without subs. Using general contracting and technical skills to complete remodeling projects, the Home Access Laborer will improve the accessibility needs of customers' homes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General Remodeling construction tasks such as decks, landing, doorway widening, grab bar installation and technical installation such as power door openers or bathroom modifications.
  • Review plans and specs and determine feasibility, code compliance, labor, and equipment requirements.
  • Ensure timely completion of construction projects.
  • Plan material purchases, labor requirements, coordinate with staff as needed and follow Numotion documentation procedures.
  • Ensure skills appropriate, job prep, tools and materials are available on-site.
  • Ensure Numotion standards and all applicable codes/regulations are followed on job site
  • Monitor and maintain tools, storage, maintenance, and re-supply while coordinating with other staff
  • Receive and sort products on loading dock as needed.
  • Record service and follow up for clients in a timely manner and coordinate with other staff
  • Observe HIPPA, Safety, Code Compliance at all times
  • Participate in educational training sessions or required certification courses.
  • Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to perform the job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion's mission.
  • Adhere to employee or customer confidentiality and comply with Numotion's policies and federal regulations.
  • Always provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND

EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in general light construction such as blocking, framing, sheetrock, paint, tile, and handyman level work.
  • Understand scaled drawings and written specifications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of labor requirements for construction work, and standard work practices.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • Ability to drive, navigate over urban, suburban, and rural areas to job sites.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES AND

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of labor rates
  • 10 hour OSHA training.
  • Lead Based Paint Certification.
  • Understand material pricing and availability.
  • Understand code and permit regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Strong listening, organization, and priority setting skills.
  • Experience working with or supporting people with disabilities.
  • Experience with common PC software (word processing, email, and internet).
