Diesel Mechanic​/Service Technician

Inland Truck Parts & Service is looking to hire a Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic

facility that provides plenty of opportunities to develop your skills. We work on all makes and models of trucks, so your skills are always developing. At least one year of experience working on class 6-8 trucks is required.

Job Responsibilities for a Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic

Work schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00-5:00

The position will involve, but not be limited to, the following:

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on class 6 to class 8 heavy-duty trucks
• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities within all heavy-duty truck and trailer systems componentry. For example: hydraulics, engines, electrical, drive train, suspension, HVAC, braking systems, etc.
• Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Work independently, as well as part of a team

Candidates must have mechanical ability/ skills/ knowledge; ability to lift up to 50 pounds, basic math skills, tools, and the ability to read & understand manuals/ diagrams. You must be able to bend, stoop, twist, carry, push, pull, and go up/down steps.

Preference given to candidates who are self-motivated, detail oriented
, have 3+ years of experience in a related field, strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new skills quickly, and a desire for career advancement.
