Position Summary

POSTING FOR UNMC EMPLOYEES ONLY
Responsible for the coordination and oversight of daily operational tasks involving building maintenance and service activities in an academic and research settings in assigned buildings. These services include, but are not limited to Preventive Maintenance, Life Safety, Troubleshooting, Work Orders, and Minor Renovations to include the following trades: HVAC , Refrigeration, Plumbing, Temperature controls, Lighting and Electrical.
This position will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, mentoring and leading crews.

1. Successfully complete training courses as needed to perform the diagnostic testing and analysis of HVAC , Refrigeration, Plumbing, Temperature Controls, Lighting and electrical systems.
2. Successfully complete safety training courses and adhere to safety procedures.
3. Ability to communicate with campus customers, vendors and technicians.
4. Ability to guide others in regard to necessary steps taken to troubleshoot, repair and install a variety of equipment and systems.
5. Knowledge and application of a variety of city, state, and federal regulations.
6. Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex issues and problems.
7. Capable of mentoring crew members and providing guidance throughout the completion of projects.
8. Ability to share insight, expertise, and instruct others on complex tasks.
