As a Fire Systems Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of commercial environments by managing the lifecycle of fire protection systems. You will utilize your technical expertise in low-voltage wiring and system diagnostics to deliver high-quality installations and maintenance, directly impacting the safety of our clients' facilities.
About the RoleAs a Fire Systems Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of commercial environments by managing the lifecycle of fire protection systems. You will utilize your technical expertise in low-voltage wiring and system diagnostics to deliver high-quality installations and maintenance, directly impacting the safety of our clients' facilities.
Responsibilities- Execute the installation, programming, and commissioning of advanced fire alarm systems in commercial settings.
- Lead on-site project coordination, effectively managing labor, materials, and cross-trade communication to ensure timely project delivery.
- Perform complex troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs to restore system functionality and maintain code compliance.
- Conduct comprehensive preventative maintenance inspections to identify and mitigate potential system failures.
- Oversee inventory management for service components to ensure efficient field operations.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all life safety systems meet rigorous performance standards.
- Proven experience in commercial fire alarm installation, low-voltage wiring, or related electrical systems.
- Strong proficiency with hand and power tools used in construction and electrical work.
- Demonstrated ability to manage physical tasks and navigate commercial job sites effectively.
- Solid understanding of electrical troubleshooting and equipment diagnostics.
- Valid driver's license and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Current state-recognized electrical journeyman or apprentice licensure.
- Active fire alarm installation or inspection certifications.
- Documented experience with access control systems and integrated security solutions.
- Background in new commercial or multi-family residential construction projects.
