About Midwest Protection Services (MPS)

We deliver expert fire protection equipment, security, and access control solutions across commercial, residential, and industrial projects — all while upholding Guardian’s promise of excellence and safety.
What You’ll DoInstall, start up, and service new and existing fire alarm systems in commercial buildings.
Coordinate labor on the jobsite and manage small projects — aligning materials and scheduling with other trades.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm systems, devices, and wiring.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections.
Track and monitor service parts to keep your truck and jobs stocked.
What You’ll Bring Hands-on experience in commercial fire alarm installation, service, security, or low-voltage commercial wiring.
Comfort with hand and power tools and safe work practices.
Ability to lift, carry, climb, and perform physical tasks on active construction sites.
Proven experience on commercial construction projects (required).Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset to coordinate labor and work well with others.
Preferred Credentials (Not Required)
Current Nebraska Electrical Journeyman’s License.
Current Nebraska Electrical Apprentice License with 2+ years of fire alarm experience.
Current Nebraska Fire Alarm Installer’s License.
Current Nebraska Fire Alarm Inspector’s License.
12+ months of documented electrical apprentice time.
