Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join a leading construction team in the Omaha area. This is a long-term opportunity offering consistent hours, strong benefits, and a mix of shop and field work on a wide variety of equipment.

This role is best suited for someone who is self-motivated, mechanically strong, and confident diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment independently. You’ll be working on both newer and older CAT and John Deere equipment, requiring a strong troubleshooting skillset and hands‑on mechanical ability.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair heavy construction equipment
• Perform shop and field service work throughout the Omaha metro area
• Work on CAT, John Deere, and similar heavy equipment
• Interpret service manuals and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Perform manual diagnostics and troubleshooting in the field and shop
• Operate a service truck for field repairs
• Maintain organized and cost‑conscious repair practices
• Coordinate rebuilds and outside repairs as needed

• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Experience with CAT, John Deere, or similar equipment preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Class A CDL preferred, or willingness to obtain one
• Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus
