Job SummaryThe Lead Youth Coach works closely with the Residential Manager to maintain daily structure, consistency, and quality care within the residential service. This position supports youth through evidence‑based, trauma‑informed practices and provides guidance to Youth Coaches during shifts. The Lead Youth Coach ensures the smooth operation of the daily schedule, administers medications as directed, and models effective engagement, communication, and intervention strategies for staff.

Monday‑Friday Evening 3:00pm‑11:30pm, Monday‑Friday Overnight 11:00pm‑7:30am
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain structure and consistency in daily residential operations, ensuring schedules, activities, and routines are followed.
- Provide direction and real‑time guidance to Youth Coaches during shifts to ensure adherence to safety, program structure, and youth engagement expectations.
- Serve as a positive role model for staff by demonstrating trauma‑informed approaches, de‑escalation skills, and youth‑centered interventions.
- Support the Residential Manager by providing informal performance feedback to staff—highlighting strengths, offering coaching, and communicating observed training needs.
- Administer and document medications in accordance with medical and licensing standards.
- Implement evidence‑based practices, motivation systems, movement plans, and daily schedule to include the youth calendar.
- Ensure the safety and supervision of all youth and staff within assigned shifts.
- Support implementation of individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies.
- Develop and maintain case plans, progress summaries, and related documentation in accordance with program standards.
- Document shift progress, incidents, and communication logs accurately and promptly.
- Prepare court reports and attend hearings as needed to represent the program and youth progress.
- Lead and participate in team debriefs following incidents to promote learning and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with the Residential Manager to address logistical or staffing needs during shifts.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of new Youth Coaches.
- Participate in scheduled trainings, meetings, and supervision sessions to enhance program effectiveness.
- Maintain compliance with RADIUS policies, state licensing, and accreditation standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2‑3 years of experience working in residential or youth behavioral settings required.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to model professional boundaries and trauma‑informed care practices.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Expectation to work a minimum of 40 hours per week; flexibility to work weekends or varied shifts as needed.
- Exposure:

For example, while performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Additionally, the employee may occasionally be exposed to blood borne and other hazardous chemicals. Finally, the noise level in the work environment can be loud.
In all cases personal protective equipment will be provided to the employee in combination with adequate ventilation and other engineering controls to minimize the risk of exposure or other hazardous occurrence. - Physical:
