As an In‑Home Family Services Specialist, you will support families in their own homes, helping them build stronger relationships, develop parenting skills, and overcome challenges. Your guidance can keep families together and give children the foundation they deserve.
Job Status & PayLocations: Kearney, Grand Island, Hastings
Starting Pay: $20.50–$23.50/hr
Full‑Time or Part‑Time: Full‑Time – GUARANTEED
Shifts: Flexible Schedule – may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on‑call hours

- Offer crisis intervention and guidance when needed.
- Build strong relationships with families and collaborate with professionals like teachers, doctors, and social workers.
- Develop service plans, monitor progress, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Perform any other duties deemed necessary by a supervisor.
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and 1 year of experience working with children and families
- OR Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Certification as a Parenting Instructor
- Facilitation of family decision‑making meetings
- Professional development and leadership pathways
- Reasonably expected to have sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful situations encountered on the job.
- Perform duties in a variety of environments ranging from highly stressful and potentially aggressive to casual and leisurely, both indoor and outdoor.
- Employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to visit homes with substandard living conditions and domestic pets.
