Summary
This position is located in the DEA San Antonio Division / McAllen District Office, Omaha Division, and Minneapolis/St. Paul District Office. The primary purpose is to assist leadership in administrative, human‑resource liaison, internal control, logistics (fleet, personal property, supply management), quality assurance, records management, and Task Force Officer (TFO) management.
Salary Range- Omaha/Minneapolis/St. Paul District Office – Minneapolis, MN: $67,290 – 105,845 per year
- Omaha Division Office – Omaha, NE: $62,339 – 98,058 per year
- San Antonio Division / McAllen District Office – McAllen, TX: $61,722 – 97,087 per year
- Establish electronic files and databases, compose correspondence, and assist with preparation of reports and briefings on special projects.
- Prepare requests for personnel actions (SF‑52s, RPAs, or PARs) in collaboration with Headquarters Human Resources Specialists and Division management.
- Research and resolve general issues related to employee pay and leave.
- Perform vehicle management, ensuring timely maintenance, service, repairs, supplement equipment, and documentation.
- Conduct periodic inventory of equipment and property utilization.
- Maintain, purge, and dispose of office records/files in accordance with regulations and procedures.
- Complete routine logistics functions including supply management, inventory management, accountable property management, facility management, and transportation/fleet management‑maintenance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Employment subject to successful completion of a background investigation; must obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Incumbent subject to random drug testing.
- Successful completion of the E‑Verify employment verification check.

- Current or former political appointees must disclose status; OPM must authorize employment offers.
- At least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to GS‑07. Experience may include paid, unpaid, or volunteer work (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps). Volunteering may count as credit.
- Experience must demonstrate: administrative support in related programs; assistance with confidential employee matters; participation in specified project segments; and provision of advice and recommendations.
- Or education:
Master’s or equivalent graduate degree, or two (2) full years of progressively higher‑level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D. if related. - Or combination of education and experience: computed percentage of requirements at least 100% (divide total months of experience by 12, compute percentage of graduate semester hours beyond first year, add).
- At least one full year of qualified specialized experience equivalent to GS‑09. Structure of experience as above.
- Experience must demonstrate: administrative support; assistance to managers with confidential employee matters; completion of project segments; identification and recommendation of solutions; provision of advice.
- Or education:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three (3) full academic years of graduate‑level education; or LL.M. if related. - Or combination of education and experience: computed percentage of requirements at least 100% (divide total months of experience by 12, compute percentage of graduate semester hours beyond second year, add).
