In-Home Family Services Specialist – Council Bluffs, IA
Location: Council Bluffs, IA
Starting Pay: $20.50–$23.50/hr
Schedule: Full Time, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call hours
What You’ll Be DoingAs a Family Case Manager, you’ll work directly with families to help them overcome challenges and build skills for long-term success. Your responsibilities include:
- Providing in-home support and teaching practical skills to strengthen families.
- Connecting families with community resources such as schools, healthcare, and social services.
- Offering crisis intervention and guidance when needed.
- Building strong relationships with families and collaborating with professionals like teachers, doctors, and social workers.
- Developing service plans, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field with at least one year of experience working with children and families.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Reduced or no-cost medical visits at Boys Town locations.

Other duties may be required and assigned as determined by a supervisor to meet the organization’s needs.
Physical RequirementsThe role requires the ability to have and maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental and emotional) situations without compromising health. Duties may occur in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and may require visiting homes with substandard living conditions or domestic pets.
