This position will work as part of the human trafficking team working in close collaboration with several social service organizations ensuring that survivors can access program services with minimal barriers. The trafficking case manager will work in the crisis stabilization shelter and will provide comprehensive case management, safety planning, and ongoing support to survivors of human trafficking specifically those who have been sexually exploited and/or trafficked.
Intensive case management responsibilities begin at this level. Decision making, problem solving, and highly developed interpersonal skills are critical. This position requires high level of social work skills, practice, and knowledge
Compensation: between $19.74 and $23.54 per hour (wage is determined by total years of relevant experience)
Work Schedule:
28 hours per week, Sunday evening from 9:30 pm-7:30 am and Monday and Tuesday from 10:30 pm-7:30 am.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or human service field, and two years direct care experience in Human Services preferred; or equivalent employment experience may be considered
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides crisis intervention and support to survivors of trafficking.
- Demonstrates advanced crisis intervention skills while working with a diverse clientele.
- Assist with meeting basic needs at a crisis stabilization shelter; including assistance with developing and revising an ongoing safety plan, and connecting to medical, therapeutic, or other provides as identified through the intake and assessment process.
- Accurately and thoroughly complete all required paperwork and data entry per agency policies and funding guidelines and within prescribed timelines.
- Provide client transportation in personal and agency vehicles.
- Participate in monthly team meetings with HFS program staff.
- Follow program policies and procedures; including agency protocols related to medication administration.
- Completes all required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for quality improvement and grant purposes.
- Creates, maintains and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
- Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agency's ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
- Essential functions of this job is to be performed on company physical work site
- In town travel is required, includes use of personal vehicle.
- Is able to work both independently, with little supervision, and as a part of a team.
- Able to establish regularity and dependability in scheduling all appointment and accuracy in reports and statistics.
