Overview
Our Connected Aviation – Air Traffic Solutions (ATS-SED) Software Engineering Department is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to support the development and support of Air Traffic Control Systems worldwide such as Next Gen Weather Processor, STARS, and Auto Trac. The position is based onsite in Marlborough, MA.
What You Will Do- Make complex fixes to solve issues in software baselines.
- Update software process documentation and work instructions to meet ATS SED’s high‑maturity software engineering standards.
- Participate in agile processes such as daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, story pointing, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with integrated engineering teams to support cost and schedule objectives, requiring frequent multi‑level communication with engineering members, program management, and external stakeholders.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Experience developing and integrating software in a Red Hat environment using GIT.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle using Java or C/C++.
- Experience in software testing or debugging source code.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, and Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- Competitive salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
