About the Role
We’re actively seeking a talented Senior Mainframe Application Developer (Annuities) to join teams in Omaha, NE, Newport Beach, CA, or Charlotte, NC. As a senior developer you will design, develop, modify, debug, and evaluate software enhancements or new programs for applications such as Vantage-One, wmA, and DSS.
Responsibilities- Analyze requirements and formulate program logic for new applications and modify logic in existing applications.
- Design, develop, and debug software, including writing code, integrating application components, and performing testing and debugging.
- Develop conversion and system implementation plans to ensure system improvements are successfully deployed.
- Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
- Train users in conversion and implementation of systems.
- 8+ years of experience in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL.
- Hands‑on expertise in system modernization and automation.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Previous annuities industry experience.
- Previous experience with Vantage, DSS, and wmA mainframe applications.
- Familiarity with technologies such as APIs, Web Services, AI, Python, and Mule Soft.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Base Pay Range: $ – $ (actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location; most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay).
