Join our software engineering team charged with creating cutting edge, machine-reasoning teammates working in tandem with our warfighters and intelligence professionals to achieve the next level in operational, near-real time decision superiority. In this role you will develop and maintain sophisticated AI enabling Advanced Battle Management software to address Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) decision advantage.
Responsibilities- Assist in the development and enhancement of model-based, decision-making algorithms under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in requirements and system architecture analysis meetings with the MEDA project team.
- Support the development of interface architectures that integrate one or more AI/ML modules with each other and external software applications.
- Lead UI design and development.
- Perform object-oriented software development in Java and Python on the Linux operating system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with MEDA software components.
- Document software components and updates in maintenance manuals.
- Assist with system configuration and installation activities.
- Collaborate effectively within a small development team in a dynamic environment where requirements may change with minimal lead time.
- Participate in domestic and foreign travel as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government SECRET Security Clearance (minimum).
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
- Strong foundation in software engineering principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with model-based systems engineering.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirements.
- Collaborating with warfighters to iterate on user stories and software features.
- Desired: Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- U.S. Government Top Secret clearance.
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience developing on Linux operating systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and techniques.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
- Previous work on government contracts or in defense/aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with real-time systems or embedded software development.

Pay Range: $65,700 - $134,400
