Senior Software Engineer - Air Traffic Solutions; Onsite

Our Connected Aviation – Air Traffic Solutions – Software Engineering Department (ATS-SED) seeks an experienced Software Engineer to develop and support global Air Traffic Control Systems.

• Develop and maintain software packaged into our ATMS products.
• Maintain documentation and work instructions needed to meet ATS SED’s high‑maturity software engineering standards and processes.
• Participate in Agile processes, including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and story pointing.
• Collaborate with an integrated engineering team and communicate regularly with engineering peers, program management, and external stakeholders.

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience developing, integrating, testing, and validating software components in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Proficiency with the complete software development lifecycle using Java or C/C++.
• Hands‑on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• U.S. citizenship required.

• Experience with asynchronous messaging frameworks.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket).
• Willingness to learn or familiarity with Ada.
• Experience in software testing or debugging source code.

Onsite (primarily on‑site work).

USD 86,800 – 165,200 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
