About Aulendur Labs

Aulendur Labs is an Omaha-based startup building machine learning infrastructure for forecasting: predicting how complex, interconnected systems behave so our customers can make better operational decisions. We are founder‑led and deeply technical, with a team drawn from atmospheric science, defense technology, and large‑scale software engineering.

Role

This is a senior individual contributor role. You will write code every day and help own a production application end to end, including data pipelines, model serving, deployment, reliability, and product‑facing features.

Leadership & Ownership

The leadership here is technical, not managerial. You will review PRs, mentor through feedback, help define engineering standards, and keep our development practices honest as we grow.

No direct reports. Real ownership.

What we’re looking for
  • Roughly 10 years of experience building and shipping software, or equivalent evidence that you have owned serious production systems
  • Meaningful contributions to a real application that customers use and pay for
  • Strong Python experience
  • Experience with at least one lower‑level language
  • Solid Dev Ops fundamentals: containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, and clean, safe deploys and rollbacks
  • Considered opinions on engineering hygiene, including branch protection, testing, linting, code review, and code quality enforcement
  • Comfort using LLM tools, and appropriate skepticism of them
  • Experience building a frontend, even if you are not primarily a frontend engineer
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
Why us
  • Your work ships and matters.
  • No feature factories, no six‑month roadmaps to nowhere.
  • Engineers/Scientists at the helm. The founders write code and review PRs. You will not have to explain to leadership why tests matter.
