Lead Developer, Backend Developer, Software Architect

Overview

FNBO seeks a leader to drive application design, architecture, and stewardship of secure, scalable solutions. The role includes designing and maintaining application and network diagrams, ensuring security and data integrity, mentoring teammates, participating in code reviews, planning initiatives, and contributing to Agile ceremonies. The role collaborates with other technical leads, supports production issue resolution, and coordinates with Change Management for releases and post-release activities.

The position includes on-call rotation for production support.

• Lead application design and maintain application and network diagrams.
• Ensure solutions align with best practices for application security, encryption, and data in transit.
• Mentor team members and participate in code reviews.
• Plan initiatives, including design work, estimates, work breakdowns, and identifying dependencies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to roadmap planning and execution for owned applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.
• Collaborate with other technical leads to identify dependencies and participate in development work.
• Support resolution of production issues and create steps to prevent recurrence.
• Provide oversight on resolution of vulnerabilities and compliance deficits.
• Coordinate with Change Management for code releases, rollout planning, cross-team collaboration, production releases, and post-release testing.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for production support.

• Enterprise data architecture and pipeline design
• PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and data modeling
• Python and Java proficiency
• Serverless and event-driven architectures
• Advanced SQL and data transformation optimization
• API development, microservices, and REST architecture
• Test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
• Git version control strategies and branching models
• Familiarity with Mule Soft and Flex Gateway
• Contract-first API development
• Advanced Spring Boot and Spring Batch hands-on experience
• Expertise with using AI tools

• Leadership — Architect and lead implementation of AWS-based solutions
• Establish technical standards and best practices
• Lead code reviews focused on maintainability, security, and performance
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and roadmap
• Lead technical discovery sessions across multiple teams
