Our Connected Aviation – Air Traffic Solutions – Software Engineering Department (ATS-SED) is seeking experienced Software Engineers to develop and support air traffic management systems worldwide. Candidates will work on safety‑of‑life control systems for multinational customers, improving skills across the software development life‑cycle.
What You Will Do- Develop and maintain software packaged into ATMS products.
- Maintain documentation and work instructions required by ATS‑SED's high‑maturity engineering standards.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, story pointing).
- Collaborate with an integrated engineering team and maintain frequent multi‑level communication with engineering, program management, and external stakeholders.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience developing, integrating, testing, and validating software components in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Proficiency with Java or C/C++ across the full software development life‑cycle.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- U.S. citizenship (as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract).
- Experience with asynchronous messaging frameworks.
- Agile methodology experience and familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket).
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Ada.
- Experience in software testing or debugging source code.
- Flexible work weeks: 9/80A and 5/40 schedules.

Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD (based on experience, location, and role responsibilities).
