Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Rating Developer with strong expertise in Guidewire Policy Center Rating to design, develop, and maintain rating solutions for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance products. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in Guidewire rating configuration, Gosu development, and Policy Center customization, with a solid understanding of insurance rating concepts and Guidewire best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain rating algorithms, pricing logic, and rating configurations within Guidewire Policy Center.
  • Configure and maintain rate books, rate tables, rating factors, modifiers, territories, parameter sets, and underwriting rules.
  • Develop, customize, and enhance rating rules and routines using Gosu.
  • Collaborate with product managers, actuaries, business analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and efficient rating solutions.
  • Enhance and support the Guidewire Policy Center Rating Engine, including DTO-based PC10 Rating (preferred).
  • Perform unit testing, regression testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for rating-related enhancements.
  • Analyze and resolve rating defects, configuration issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for rating logic, configurations, and rate structures.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to Guidewire development standards and best practices.
  • Support Policy Center configuration activities and product model enhancements using Product Designer.
  • Utilize SQL for data validation, troubleshooting, and production support.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of Policy Center Configuration

  • Familiarity with DTO-based PC10 Rating is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Guidewire Cloud Certification (Policy Center Cloud or related Guidewire Cloud certification) is preferred.
  • Guidewire Integration Certification (Guidewire Certified Integration Developer or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
