Driver Class A; OT

Clean Harbors in Omaha, NE is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks and equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs. The role involves driving and non‑driving duties on and off customer sites related to hazardous waste clean‑up.

• Ensure health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting safely
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed in a team atmosphere
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks
• Loading and unloading of trucks
• Perform manual labor on site to fulfill customer needs
• Properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements
• Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and various reports
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements
• Observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
• Observe all environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week
• Handle site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
• Ability to use various mobile devices
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
• Meet facial hair standards for respirator use per OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.34

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commercial driver experience
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
• Previous Hazmat experience
• Ability to operate a manual transmission
• Previous manual labor experience
