Roadside Assistance Technician – a key member of the Emergency Roadside Assistance team, providing service and support to member vehicles, ensuring safety and satisfaction.

• Operate a full‑size or mini service truck or tow truck with applicable equipment to assist members.
• Use GPS and maps to locate breakdown sites.
• Provide fuel, battery tests and replacements, jump‑starts, lockout service and tire changes or inflations.
• Tow or arrange towing of vehicles that cannot be started or are unsafe to drive.
• Maintain 100% member satisfaction through excellent customer service.
• Offer value to members via on‑the‑go tow, battery tests or sales.
• Support special events such as parades, travel shows, Car Care or public relations events.

• Hourly rates starting at $23.00 in Nebraska, with potential higher pay based on experience.
• Overtime at time‑and‑a‑half.
• Shift premiums: 5% (5 pm–11 pm) and 10% (11 pm–5 am).
• $1,000 sign‑on bonus, paid after 90 and 180 days for new ACG hires.

• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Age 21 or older.
• Valid state driver’s license with minimal infractions.
• Optional:
  Illinois C‑non‑CDL license if employed in Illinois.
• Experience with tablets or electronic devices for call updates and documentation.
• Strong customer‑service skills and communication ability.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Successful completion of drug screening, MVR, criminal background and DOT health screenings.

• Experience servicing vehicles: fuel delivery, battery replacement, jump‑starts, lockout service, tire change or inflation.
• Prior tow truck driver or roadside service experience.
• Capability to operate a wheel lift, flatbed, dolly towing equipment, full‑size or mini service vehicle and relevant equipment, or commercial driving experience.

Roadside service in an outdoor setting; up to 95 % exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes, with less than 5 % time in a temperature‑controlled office.
