This role accelerates business values by delivering ice to customers in straight trucks that require a CDL Class B license. Drivers are either assigned a delivery route or transport truckloads of ice to specific customer locations. The delivery region, route, and type of equipment operated is subject to change depending on business needs. Drivers are expected to physically unload, deliver, fill, and rotate ice at the customer locations.

It also leads, collaborates, and demonstrates lean principles and utilizes lean methodologies and tools to facilitate continuous process improvements and value creation for customers, employees, and shareholders.
Actively utilizes lean tools (VSM, Kaizen, A3, etc.) to inform and assess business opportunities to drive continuous improvement and participates in Kaizen and value stream mapping activities.
Delivery Driver Metric – Ice Volume: 10 pallets per day; 210 bags of ice delivered per day; 2,100 bags per 5‑day week; 21,000 lbs per day; 105,000 lbs per 5‑day week (10.5 tons). (General outline based on a 10‑pallet truck and a 5‑day work week.)

Customers and warehouse personnel.
- Minimum Class B CDL driver’s license required.
- Must drive safely at all times and possess a clean driving record.
- Must be registered with the U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
No lead or supervisory responsibility; this is a professional driver position.
Education and Experience- High School diploma or GED required.
- Three years of previous route delivery driver experience preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a driver in a vehicle similar to the one you will operate during the time of employment.
- Basic math skills and exceptional customer relations skills.
Physical Requirements
- Drive in stressful environments.
- Unload, load, and rotate product in merchandisers.
- Lift 60 lbs throughout the day.
- Work in all weather conditions.
Direct responsibility for property, funds, and information. Must adhere to and follow all corporate policies and procedures.
LocationOmaha City, Omaha, Nebraska. Reddy Ice manufactures and distributes approximately 1.8 million tons of ice annually to a broad and diversified customer base. These customers rely on us for ice that is produced under the industry’s highest standards.
