Rapid Medical is a tech-forward logistics partner for labs, clinics, and health systems — operating across various states and managing thousands of daily stops that keep healthcare running.

Routed Driver

You'll run a consistent daily route across designated hospital and clinic locations. Same stops, same schedule, reliable income. This is stable, long-term contract work — many of our drivers have held their routes for years.

Compensation
  • Guaranteed daily rate — you are paid for your day regardless of stop volume.
  • Weekly bonus opportunity: earn an additional $ amount per week based on your performance.
  • Sign‑on bonus:
Earn $300 upon successful completion of your first 30 days. Eligibility requires remaining active and in good standing, with no excessive call‑outs, for 30 days following your first scheduled route.
  • Daily cashout or bi‑weekly direct deposit — your choice, configured during onboarding.
What a typical route looks like
  • Report to the dispatch location to pick up supplies and materials for your route.
  • Run your assigned stops using our driver app — it handles navigation, stop details, scheduling, and real‑time dispatch support throughout.
  • Document all pickups and deliveries with photos and proof of delivery through the app.
  • Handle specimens carefully — all stops have scheduled pickup times and specimens are time‑sensitive.
  • Maintain proper temperature handling at all times (room temperature, refrigerated, or frozen).
  • Contact dispatch immediately if anything appears damaged, improperly packaged, or if you encounter any issues on route.
What You'll Need

Vehicle & Insurance

  • A personal vehicle in good working condition (leased/owned/rental).
  • SUV or larger vehicle strongly preferred — routes may include supply pickups that require additional cargo space.
  • Vehicle model year 2016 or newer preferred; older vehicles reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis.
  • Valid driver's license and up‑to‑date registration.
  • Active auto insurance in your name (or authorization letter from the registered owner).

Tech

  • A smartphone (iOS 13+ or Android 11+ to run our driver app).
  • Reliable data connection — the app needs internet access throughout the route.

You

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • A satisfactory driving record — a motor vehicle record (MVR).
  • Ability to lift and carry loads up to 25lbs.
  • Strong time management and problem‑solving skills — on‑demand drivers especially must be comfortable navigating multiple locations under time pressure.
  • Prior experience in delivery, rideshare, or medical courier services (e.g., Amazon, Fed Ex, Uber Lyft) is a plus but not required. We welcome all applicants.
What We Provide
  • Rapid Medical uniform and  provided at no cost to you.
  • Full onboarding before your first shift: HIPAA training, specimen handling certification, app walkthrough, and supervised ride‑alongs.
  • Real‑time dispatch support on every route, start to finish.
What We Expect
  • Arrive on time.
  • Conduct yourself professionally at all pickup and delivery locations.
  • Inspect specimen count and packaging at every stop — always keep specimens temperature controlled.
  • If you need time off, we require 14 days' advance written notice so we can arrange route coverage, per the terms of your contractor agreement.
  • Contact dispatch immediately if anything appears damaged, improperly packaged, or if you encounter any issues on route.

All contractor engagements are contingent upon a satisfactory background check (conducted through Yardstick) and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review. Drug screening is also required prior to your first shift. All checks must be cleared before training begins.

Equal Opportunity Statement

We provide contracting opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. We are committed to an inclusive environment for all. All contractor engagements are contingent upon a satisfactory background check and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for reporting and remitting applicable self‑employment taxes.

A1099‑NEC will be issued for all payments made.
