Driver Helper

Essential Functions

• Accurately load the daily route onto the truck
• Scan daily route onto the truck
• Assist driver with navigating to deliveries
• Assist driver with carrying freight to a business or residence destination
• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting, counting products and other duties
• Ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast‑paced environment
• Ensure a safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to read a map and general geographic knowledge of the area
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. unassisted
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions well
• Ability to work well with others
• High attention to detail required
• Can work well with others with little supervision
• Can lift 50+ lbs. unassisted
• Can speak, read, and write in English

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods. The employee must frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend, and lift objects above their heads. Employees must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and use pallet jacks and forklifts. The position requires regular use of a phone and a PC and reading and writing various shipping documents.
