Position Overview
Harlow's School Bus Services is seeking a motivated, organized, and dependable Dispatcher / Driver / Charter Coordinator to join our transportation team. This is a dynamic position that combines dispatching, school bus driving as needed, and coordinating charter and activity trips. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, and making a difference in student transportation, we'd love to hear from you!
Dispatcher- Coordinate daily school bus routes and driver assignments.
- Respond to driver, school, and parent concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with drivers using radio and phone systems.
- Assist with emergency situations and transportation changes.
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities.
- Follow all company policies, state regulations, and safety procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and school staff.
- Schedule charter and activity trips for schools and community groups.
Confirm transportation details with customers.
- Coordinate vehicle and driver availability for charter services.
- Ensure trip paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and school personnel.
Qualifications- CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements preferred (or willingness to obtain with paid training).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
