- Truck Driver of tandem and single axle dump trucks or water trucks in a levee setting.
- As necessary perform the duties of a Laborer.
- Maintain a safe work area.
- Communicate and work with the Project Support staff - QCM, SSHO, Superintendent, Site Coordinator.
- Communicate and professionally represent the Employer with government representatives and the public
- Education Requirements:
High School or GED - Level of Experience Requirements:
- 2+ years of demonstratable experience on levee projects for USACE.
- 2+ years of demonstratable experience working on bank restorations for USACE.
- Has completed a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety Course.
- Has a current CD. With a tanker endorsement is preferred.
- Experience of operating dump trucks and/or water trucks in tight areas constrained by structures, underground and overhead utilities, retaining walls, other vehicles parked along streets, etc. Driving through residential and urban areas and driving on levees.
- Experience of pulling equipment trailers.
- Experience operating water-trucks.
- Ability to complete and file paperwork in an organized and legible form.

- This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
- This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.

Physical SettingThe job is performed in an outdoor setting with exposure to all weather conditions - rain, snow, cold and hot temperatures. Requires an extensive amount of driving during each shift. The job requires the use of smart phones, cameras, tablets, in the field.
Schedule and FlexibilityThe work schedule will require more than 8 hours per shift, nominally working Monday through Friday, work on weekends will be occasionally required.
Other Pertinent Work Details- The use of personal protective equipment is required - hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes, safety vests, respirators, hearing protection, etc. As a water-driver needs to be able to pull hoses to water seeded areas.
- As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
