Shipping Receiving Clerk
This hands-on warehouse role supports all aspects of shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and order fulfillment. You will spend most of your day pulling and packaging customer orders, operating a forklift, and ensuring materials are accurately received, tagged, stored, and shipped in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities- Pick and package customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks and containers.
- Operate a forklift to move materials safely throughout the warehouse and facility.
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, and apply material tags.
- Scan inventory and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse systems and RF scanners.
- Conduct dock audits to verify order accuracy and ensure correct items and quantities ship.
- Weigh shipments and verify packaging documentation, including bills of lading.
- Ensure materials meet packaging, labeling, and quality standards before shipment.
- Supply production teams with required packaging materials and components as needed.
- Support production and supply chain teams during high-volume periods and special projects.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Operate pallet handling equipment to move and stage materials safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, shipping, and receiving area.
- Support general warehouse operations and other related tasks as assigned.
- At least 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving or similar warehouse operations.
- At least 1 year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in order picking and packaging.
- Hands-on experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse inventory management.
- Proficiency with order picking, order selection, packing, and packaging processes.
- Experience with data entry related to shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
- Experience with material handling, including loading and unloading trucks.
- Ability to use RF scanners and barcode scanning equipment.
- Experience using pallet handling equipment and pallet jacks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification, if not already certified.
- Comfort with frequent lifting, standing, walking, and operating equipment throughout the shift.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Metal fabrication experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints is a plus.
- Understanding of part functionality and assembly components is beneficial.
- Experience using measuring devices and inspection tools is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in shipping and inventory records.
- Solid organizational skills to manage multiple orders and tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.

This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
