Parts Manager

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing inventory based on demand and cost targets. Must have knowledge of stock – control systems so that they can effectively record and analyze the movement of parts. Must also maintain accurate records of parts replaced under warranty and details of faulty parts.
  • Work closely with Service Manager to ensure parts are to the technicians timely
  • Hire, train, and monitor parts department staff
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department
  • Maintain inventory consistent with the requirements of the various departments
  • Create pricing guidelines for customer categories
  • Monitor and adjust inventory
  • Guarantee all parts are properly tagged
  • Supervise stock order procedures
  • Enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with auto parts sales, required
  • Previous Leadership experience
  • Have the ability to lift occasionally 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic
  • Automotive & Technical knowledge is required
  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organized and friendly personality
  • Demonstrated ability to manage others
  • Time management skills
  • Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
  • Team oriented and self-motivated
  • Able to work with little supervision
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license
