JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Attendant Aquatic Center (Seasonal/Limited-Term). The City of Onalaska is seeking to hire Slide Attendants. An employee in this position is responsible for general customer service duties, monitoring access to the facility to include water slide. This position is a limited term, Seasonal Position. Scheduled Hours May Vary.

• Operate the top of the water slides.
• Enforce water slide rules to ensure the safety of patrons.
• Ensure the safety of the patrons by enforcing the rules of the facility.
• Follow and enforce all facility rules in a firm but positive manner.
• Keep aquatics area clean and clear of potential safety hazards and immediately inform supervisor of any issues and necessary repairs.
• Perform pool setup, breakdown, cleaning and other opening and closing duties as required.
• Communicate concerns and issues with appropriate parties.
• Check locker rooms and bathrooms as directed, and perform any necessary cleaning tasks.
• Follow Wisconsin law and City policies regarding sanitation.
• Enforce department policies and follow department procedures regarding admission to the Aquatic Center.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff and public.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Must be at least 16 years old. Good oral and written communication skills required. Strong organizational skills required.

Wage range for this seasonal, limited-term position is $11.00 to $14.00 per hour depending on qualifications and budget. Flexible scheduling available. There are no benefits associated with limited-term positions.
