Overview

The School District of Onalaska is seeking a passionate, community‑minded Family‑School Liaison. This role bridges the gap between home and school, connecting families with vital resources to help students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Key Details
  • Flexible

    Schedule:

    190‑day contract with built‑in flexibility for some summer hours and school‑year breaks.
  • Job‑Share Opportunity:
    Full‑time role open to a job‑share arrangement for two qualified part‑time applicants.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of how school systems, community services, and family dynamics intersect, and a desire to use that background to help kids thrive.
  • Professional license that reflects commitment to supporting families and children (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field (required).
  • Established community connections, cultural competence, humility, and a social justice‑minded approach.
  • Effective engagement with students, families, and community members from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and active listening across all interactions with staff, students, parents, and the public.
  • Deep knowledge of available community resources to actively assist families.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet family needs.

Salary

Salary: $52,118 per year.
