The School District of Onalaska is accepting applications for part-time regular education paraprofessional starting with the 2026-27 school year. Paraprofessionals in the School District of Onalaska are classified as one encompassing unit of employees and are an integral part of the school system's programs. Paraprofessionals are assigned by the building administrator to many assignments which may be different in each of the schools.
Current openings/assignments:
Irving Pertzsch (4K Preschool/Regular education) - 4.5 hours per day
Eagle Bluff (4K Preschool/Regular education) - 4.5 hours per day
Eagle Bluff (Regular education) - two positions - 4 hours per day or 4.25 hours per day
No nights or weekends, school day only, and summer school work is available if interested.
Qualifications:
A minimum of two years (48 credits) post high school education, or an associate degree preferred. If two years post high school is not achieved, applicants must have passed Para Pro Assessment or designated Work Keys Assessments prior to employment. The Work Keys Assessment is paid for by the district if selected for employment.
