Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional, Special Education Assistant
The School District of Onalaska is accepting applications for a full-time personal care/special education paraprofessional at Onalaska High School. Personal Care Paraprofessionals at the HS provide support and personal care for students with intellectual disabilities. Personal Care paraprofessionals will support students in general education and within special education programming as needed. In addition to the special education paraprofessional job role and responsibilities, personal care paraprofessionals are typically assigned to one student at a time and 85% or more of the daily responsibilities would be in caring for a student's physical, safety and behavioral needs.
No nights or weekends, school day only, and summer school work is available if interested. Great benefits including health insurance!
Qualifications:
A minimum of two years (48 credits) post high school education, or an associate degree preferred. If two years post high school is not achieved, applicant will take and pass Para Pro Assessment. Wage: $22.63/hour
