Lead Power Engineer
Full-Time, San Francisco Bay Area, CA
Engineering
We're seeking an experienced power engineer to lead the design and development of high-power conversion systems for space applications.
Requirements- Proven experience implementing Forward, Push Pull, PSFB, and LLC topologies
- Expertise in 500W-10kW power range systems
- Proficiency with both digital and analog-based controllers
- Hands-on experience with GaN devices
- High reliability systems design experience required
- Altium Designer proficiency
- Advanced circuit simulation skills
- Space experience encouraged but not required
- Willing to relocate to Santa Cruz, CA
- Deliver tested engineering modules from customer request in under 6 months
- Sub-1 month iteration cycle: identify root causes, implement changes, manufacture PCBA, and start new revision
- Continuously improve Sunburn processes and workflows to reduce iteration cycle time, increase reliability, and decrease delivery time
