Consumer Loan Processor

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of direct consumer loan processing, including the processing and funding of high priority loans within promised time frames.
• Monitor LOS system queues to draft all types of direct consumer loan documents for completion.
• Execute end-of-day closing procedures, which include balancing the national branch and securing checks and confidential data in the vault.
• Catch and fix errors on loan applications, problem-solve, resolve issues, and provide mentoring to co-workers as needed.
• Provide assistance and backup to all other consumer lending personnel, as needed.
• Build and maintain solid and positive professional relationships with sales, underwriting, processing, and closing staff.

• One year of general lending experience preferred.
• Previous direct or indirect loan processing experience preferred.
• Good understanding of credit union policies, systems, documents, NCUA regulations, and other laws pertaining to home equity/mortgage lending.
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to solve difficult problems effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping people.
