Meat Lead

Position Summary

As a Meat Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Meat and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

• Team Leader
  :
  Supervises the meat department team to deliver on the business plan, communicate department goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for members, associates, and the company.
• Be an Expert
  :
  Maintain in-depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product updates, and specifications to meet company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, equipment usage, safety, sanitation, and compliance. Prioritize training for understanding item specifications and using approved equipment.

  :
  Leverage digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality.
• Be an Owner
  :
  Drive business results, maintain operational excellence, and keep a neat, clean, and safe work area. Use digital tools for forecasting, planning, and production; facilitate inventory and ordering; ensure staffing levels and audit/compliance standards.

  Teach and train the team, identify training needs, develop skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent. Communicate and implement processes that collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners.

• Hourly wage range: $22.00 to $30.00 (actual rate meets or exceeds the required minimum wage for the job location). Additional premiums may be paid from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.

• 6 months experience in a meat production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to complete all required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.

• Experience with meat processing, including boneless and bone‑in products, and supervising associates.
• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
