The Marine Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) is seeking a passionate, strategic, and community-focused Executive Director to lead the Foundation's mission-driven efforts and expand our impact throughout the communities we serve.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced nonprofit leader to drive meaningful change through financial literacy, community engagement, fundraising, donor development, and program growth. The Executive Director serves as the Foundation's chief leader, working closely with Marine Credit Union leadership, the Foundation Board of Directors, donors, volunteers, and community partners to advance the Foundation's mission and vision.

What You'll Do:

As Executive Director, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all Foundation activities, including:

Strategic Leadership & Program Development

  • Develop and execute strategic plans that advance the Foundation's mission and long-term goals.
  • Lead and oversee Foundation programs, initiatives, and community outreach efforts.
  • Expand and enhance financial wellness initiatives, including the Foundation's Finding HOME program.
  • Collaborate with Marine Credit Union leaders to align community impact efforts with organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies that support sustainable growth.
  • Research, write, and manage grant proposals and funding applications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Grow both monetary and in-kind support for Foundation programs.

Community Engagement & Public Relations

  • Serve as the public face of the Foundation within the communities we serve.
  • Build awareness of the Foundation's mission and impact through outreach initiatives.
  • Participate in public speaking engagements, community events, and media opportunities.
  • Guide public relations efforts and communications strategy.
  • Partner with the Board of Directors to drive organizational success.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Board meetings and ensure execution of Board directives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Foundation staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage the Foundation's annual budget.
  • Present financial reports to the Board and ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial, state, and federal regulations.
  • Support long-term financial sustainability through grants, donations, and strategic resource management.
What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of leadership experience within a nonprofit, volunteer-based, public service, or community-focused organization.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant writing, event planning, and/or program development.
  • Strong financial management and budgeting experience.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to engage donors, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders.
